February is the month when many of us realize that we really are in a new year! After the noise and excitement of the Holiday season, January is a quiet respite that seems to pass quickly. February arrives and we turn our attention into the upcoming months and envision what we want to see happen this year.
Every year offers fresh possibilities for the goals you set for yourself. You build on what you have done in previous years, or you may decide to try a new approach and see where that takes you. Here in February, you may wonder if you are actually on the right track, getting enough momentum, or if you need to be doing something different.
Here is a brief exercise that can be helpful in assessing your progress so far this year:
1. If you did not create a specific goal for 2013, now is a great time to focus and formulate one. Rather than simply holding it in your mind, put it in writing. In the most succinct way possible, write down the goal you wish to achieve this year. Place it in a sacred space, on your altar, or carry it with you. Keep your loving attention on it, bless it, and “expect” that you will achieve it.
Be open to that part of you that “knows” the Universe is listening. You are not alone in your wish or your aim. You are in Sacred Company and your goal is being blessed.
2. Make a list of “Life Strategies” – or steps that you must take to achieve your goal. The well-worn adage “God helps those who help themselves,” plays a powerful part in making progress in your life. Find out what you need to do to make the changes you want. These are “Earth Actions” which support your written goal statement. Try and accomplish one action each week – however small – which will move you in the direction of your goal.
Here is what my Guides have said about the importance of Life Strategies:
“On Earth, it is imperative that all aspirations or goals be made “real” in the physical world. Even your own emotional healing must be approached with a plan, so that it does not sit idle: Set aside a specific time each day, like a Sacred Appointment with yourself to focus on what you have set as your goal. It will also be very useful to keep a journal or notebook, and maintain awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and overall evolution. Research what needs to be done, check- in with your feelings, and then notice any resistance within you … Release the resistance and move forward in your life.”
3. Always be patient and kind with yourself as you monitor your movement throughout this upcoming year. Celebrate any and all movement you make towards your goals. And remember that you are a part of All that is Good in the Universe. You deserve the best – it is your Sacred Birthright.
Love and Blessings,
Anita
