THE POWER OF NETWORKS
I began phoning and emailing the people I knew who also do this kind of work and could tap into the energies to help. I posted on Facebook and Twitter. Many people were already “on the case” in meditation and prayer, and I knew everyone would continue to send out prayer requests to their own groups.

WORKING WITH INNER VISION
Then I sat with my Guides and we began to broadcast deep, peaceful energy to the waters of the Pacific Basin. I felt a vibration begin to build in my own hands and feet, as I sat with my eyes closed, breathing and relaxing while I visualized the slowing and smoothing of the surge headed across the ocean. I sat this way for many minutes, looking inward and “seeing” the calming of the waters. All of a sudden I knew. I just knew. Everything was going to be alright. I tuned in and could feel a sort of ripple of relief among the people who I knew were meditating, praying, and working to protect the coastal regions of the Pacific Islands.

PEACE AND GRATITUDE
It felt wonderful to finally relax as the news headline read “Hawai’i dodged a bullet!” The scientists may believe that this surge was destined to dissipate, but I will always remember the “knowing” and the shared experience of moving energy and praying with thousands and thousands of people.

Now our hearts, prayers, and energy are with the people of Chile. May they heal and rebuild with the Grace of God.

COMFORTING TOUCH
It really is instinctive it is for us to want to use our hands in a healing way. For example, let’s say you bump your arm on something…what’s your first response? Ouch! Then your opposite hand reaches over and begins to rub the sore spot. If that spot continues to hurt for some time, you may repeatedly find yourself reaching over to touch and rub it, trying to make it feel better.

Then think about our relationships to children or animals. If a child falls down and gets hurt, they come running for comfort. We hold them in our arms, and rub the place that has the “owie.”  We instinctively use our hands to comfort them. We do the same with our pets, and in a close relationship, we do the same with the adults we love. So it is natural for us to use our hands as healing instruments.

ADD SACRED LIGHT TO YOUR TOUCH
The most powerful shifts in change and healing come when we also tap into the healing power from Spirit, God, or Universal Consciousness – whatever word or concept you feel most comfortable with. Whatever we call it, there is a Oneness or All that exists outside of the Earth plane, which we can call to come to us and give assistance.

To work with our hands in a healing way, what we are really asking is to receive the Healing Power of the Universe through our hands to heal others or heal ourselves.

You can practice on yourself.  Right now:

Begin by holding  your hands out in front of you,  palm-up – in the receiving position. Now imagine bright beautiful, shimmering Light streaming into your hands…healing Light from the Universe.  And if there is an area of your own body that you would like healed; place your hands there. Even if it is your mind and thinking that you want to shift – this can work. Lay your hands on your head just as you would for a physical imbalance.

Breathe in the Light. See it flowing through your own hands into your body and mind where you need it. Let your own Golden Touch help to create deep wellness within you.

My BlogTalk Radio show on the great healing quality of nature reminded me that I have felt this way about the natural world since I was a young child. As I prepared my notes for the show, I asked myself to look back and find my earliest memories of feeling joyful and alive in nature. Lots of vivid images came to mind: hiking, fishing, lying on the ground in the forest and looking up at the treetops.

A SWEET MEMORY

Then I  remembered a moment that felt like a sacred vision quest. My dad was very much at home in the wilderness, and  one day when I was 4 years old, he took me on a long hike through the woods to show me a beautiful fresh-water spring he had discovered. We were silent and almost reverent as we drank from that spring. It was the most delicious water I’d ever tasted. And that simple and sweet moment is forever etched in my mind- full of meaning.  It felt then, and now, that my dad and I received something precious from Mother Earth.

FIND YOUR OWN MEMORIES

Take some time, when you can, and look back into your own childhood. Remember how much you loved the feel of the Earth under your bare feet, the smell of the forest, ocean, and wildflowers, or the sound of the trickling stream? That child who loved the natural world is still in you, like mine is still in me. Let’s take them out for a walk under the open sky.

Plans for the next Big Island Healing Retreat are underway!

The Big Island Healing Retreat dates are April 5th – 12th, 2010.

We will be staying at a gorgeous Hawaiian Estate with 7 acres of botanical gardens and pathways surrounding a large, beautiful home and infinity pool at a nice cool 800′ elevation overlooking the ocean.

I’m going to be teaching an EFT Workshop:

“Jump Start Your New Year” on

Saturday, January 16th from 10 – 4

at the Terra Linda Healing Center.

We will be exploring ways to magnetize what we want in our lives, focusing on:

Each participant will review/learn Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Level I to clear any specific blocks which have prevented them from attracting what they desire. We will then study and practice EFT Level II so that each student can construct new pathways of thought and energy to build the future they seek.

I will be channeling messages and directions from my Spirit Guides throughout the class, and will end with a deep, guided meditation, which will help to solidify the changes made during the workshop. Please bring a pillow and blanket for this meditation period.

We will have a 1-hour lunch break.
