Healing Meditation for Egypt

One World; One Freedom
The Egyptian people are crying out in unison, having found their strength in one another. We see their outrage pour onto the streets and feel the depth of their commitment to risk their lives and all that is comfortable to them to gain a freedom that has been denied to them for generations.
As we watch the upheaval: rocks being thrown, people chanting, men on horseback  whipping back the angry crowd – it is difficult to remember that this is Egypt the magical land. This is the land that stirs our ancient memories with images of immense proportion- pyramids, statues, and mysterious paintings. It was once a gateway to the greatest civilization. Once again, this same region presents a gateway, and this time we pray that the gateway leads to peace.

A Prayer for Peace
I channeled the following prayer, which is included in my book “Prayers of Light, heal yourself heal your world.”
May the Light heal this time of great transition in the Middle East:

As Your Light bathes the Earth, God,

We are reminded that this is Your planet.

We are all Your children, living here together.

It our responsibility to see one another as You see us.

If we are equals in Your eyes,

We must learn to see one another as equals.

If You take the time to hear each of our voices,

We must learn to listen and hear each other’s voices as well.

We trust Your wisdom

In placing each and every one of us on this planet

To be one people.

It is Your Light that can dissolve the clouds of war, God.

Let Your Radiance and Love reach those who make critical decisions

Regarding conflicts and responses…

You become their Highest Guidance.

Help them to make the choices that would meet with Your approval.

Let the leaders of the world be filled with Sacred Light.

Their minds and bodies relax in Your Glow.

Let all people put down their weapons

And look to the Heavens for Truth.

Even in times of darkness

Let their actions be Your actions.

Draw them into Your Light.

See them gathering to warm their hands and hearts

At the hearth of Your Goodness.

We pray for forgiveness among all people.

We see your Light flowing through us.

It grows brighter…spreading far across our globe.

It illuminates the minds and lives of all people on Earth,

Creating a vastness of peace, love, and tranquility.
